Only weeks before the first curfew prohibited all concerts, shows and gigs in Germany and most other countries too, Kombynat Robotron were on the road to play their first (and last) shows of the year 2020. After a freak-out psychedelic night in Koblenz together with the swedish psychedelic-rock legends Kungens Män, the Robotronic Kombynat arrived at Recklinghausen. The Creative Outlaws Club is a small venue located on the ground of an old coal-mine, a rather dreary setting on a cold and rainy afternoon in February. During soundcheck a message from the other band that was supposed to play that night came in: They would not make it there. But if a band whose approach to music making is jamming is given the opportunity to jam longer than they could have under normal circumstances, they take that opportunity. Kombynat Robotron opened the stage for themselves with a set about one hour and returned after a small break for another hour of psychedelic kraut-jams. The intimate atmosphere of the small club, crowded with people who got lost in the moment made that night something really special.
