Los Mundos - En Vivo desde el Centro de la Tierra
"En Vivo desde el Centro de la Tierra" (Live from the Center of the Earth) is the first "live" album by Doom/Psych band Los Mundos. Recorded in an abandoned mine in the outskirts of Nuevo Leon, in a small town called Hidalgo. An abandoned mine call "La Terna '' that had ceased production in the 90's. For the session only natural reverb was used. A curated set list, that expands throughout the band's discography, was chosen specifically to benefit from these unique conditions that they were going to be recorded under. "En Vivo Desde el Centro de la Tierra" was recorded in front of no audience outside the audio engineers and film crew that were there to documentate this sonic experiment.
The session was mixed at Las Dunas Studio by Alejandro Elizondo and mastered by Matthew Barnhart at Chicago Mastering Service. Video documentation is available to watch for free in its entirety on the band's YouTube channel and it will also be released on a deluxe vinyl edition of 300 on Bone colored vinyl with photos from the sessions by Aurora Central Records (Monterrey, Mexico) and Little Cloud Records (Portland, USA).
